Scott Richardson
Director of Food and Nutrition ServicesScott Richardson, Ed.S., is not your typical Director of Food and Nutrition Services; he is a visionary culinary leader with a passion for cultivating both minds and gardens. Graduating from Old Dominion University in 1992 laid the foundation, but his journey took an exciting turn when he earned a Master’s in Technology Education from Lesley University in 2007 and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University in 2014.
Beyond his impressive academic background, Mr. Richardson is a green-thumbed dynamo. As the creative force behind the farm-to-table program in Warren County, he literally sowed the seeds of change by establishing a thriving 2.5-acre school farm. Here, students not only gain knowledge but also hands-on experience in the world of agriculture.
Scott's dedication to excellence has garnered him a shelf full of awards, including multiple Georgia Golden Radish accolades, the prestigious Conservationist of the Year Award, and the Georgia School Board Association Leading Edge Award for Farm to Table innovation. Recognized as a FAME Rising Star, he continues to blaze a trail in the world of educational nutrition.
In addition to his remarkable achievements, Scott Richardson is deeply connected to various professional affiliations. Whether he's contributing to the GACTE association, sharing insights with the GA School Nutrition Association, harmonizing with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, or striking a chord with the Georgia Music Educators Association, his influence resonates far beyond the confines of school cafeterias. Scott Richardson isn't just feeding bodies; he's nourishing minds and cultivating a legacy of innovation in educational nutrition.
